Read More about Princess Diana:

Diana, Princess of Wales (Diana Frances;[N 1]née Spencer; 1 July 1961 – 31 August 1997) was a member of the British royal family and an international personality of the late 20th century as the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, whom she married on 29 July 1981. The wedding, which was held at St. Paul's Cathedral, was televised and watched by a global audience of over 750 million people. The marriage produced two sons: Princes William and Harry, currently second and third in line to the thrones of the 16 Commonwealth realms, respectively.

A public figure from the announcement of her engagement to Prince Charles, Diana was born into an old, aristocratic English family with royal ancestry, and remained the focus of worldwide media scrutiny before, during and after her marriage, which ended in divorce on 28 August 1996. This media attention continued following her death in a car crash in Parison 31 August 1997, and in the subsequent display of public mourning a week later. Diana also received recognition for her charity work and for her support of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. From 1989, she was the president of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

The sudden and unexpected death of a very popular royal figure brought statements from senior figures worldwide and many tributes by members of the public. People left public offerings of flowers, candles, cards and personal messages outside Kensington Palace for many months.

Diana's funeral took place in Westminster Abbey on 6 September 1997. The previous day Queen Elizabeth II had paid tribute to her in a live television broadcast.[53] Her sons, the Princes William and Harry, walked in the funeral procession behind her coffin, along with the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh, and with Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer.

What is Glutathione?Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide that contains an unusual peptide linkage between the amine group of cysteine and the carboxyl group of the glutamate side-chain. It is anantioxidant, preventing damage to important cellular components caused by reactive oxygen species such as free radicals and peroxides.

Thiol groups are reducing agents, existing at a concentration of approximately 5 mM in animal cells. Glutathione reduces disulfide bonds formed within cytoplasmic proteins tocysteines by serving as an electron donor. In the process, glutathione is converted to its oxidized form glutathione disulfide (GSSG), also called L(-)-Glutathione.

Glutathione is found almost exclusively in its reduced form, since the enzyme that reverts it from its oxidized form, glutathione reductase, is constitutively active and inducible uponoxidative stress. In fact, the ratio of reduced glutathione to oxidized glutathione within cells is often used as a measure of cellular toxicity.

Sony to begin restoring PlayStation Network Sunday

TOKYO — Sony said it would begin a phased restoration of its PlayStation Network games service on Sunday on a country by country basis and expected the process to be complete by May 31.

The company said phased restoration of the Sony Online Entertainment PC-based online games service would also begin on Sunday.

The Japanese electronics and entertainment giant apologized to customers for the outages and said in a statement a range of new security measures had been introduced.

"I can't thank you enough for your patience and support during this time," Sony No. 2 Kazuo Hirai said in the news release, acknowledging that customers were "anxious" to use their products again.

"We are taking aggressive action at all levels to address the concerns that were raised by this incident, and are making consumer data protection a full-time, company wide commitment."

Sony discovered on April 19 its PlayStation Network, which enables PlayStation games console owners to download games and pit their skills against rivals, had been breached by hackers, who accessed personal details on 77 million accounts.

It shut down the network and its Qriocity online music and movie service, frustrating many users, but later found out that a separate online games service had also been accessed, forcing a further shutdown.

Users of the Sony Online Entertainment service will be offered free game time as compensation for the outage, the company said. — Reuters

Scares of Big Earthquake in Rome on May 11, 2011as predicted by Raffaele Bendandi

It was reported in Telegraph that people of Rome are having big panics and trying to leave Rome today over fears that a giant earthquake is coming following a seismologist's 1915 prediction that "the big one" will strike on May 11, 2011.

The panic has been fanned by Facebook, Twitter and text messages around a prediction by Raffaele Bendani, a seismologist who forecast in 1915 that a "big one" would hit Rome on Wednesday.

Who by the way is Raffaele Bendandi?

Raffaele Bendandi, an important astronomer, seismologer and scientist he predicted that "on May 11, 2011 provide that Rome will be shaken by an earthquake so powerful that the entire city will be shaved off the face of the earth."

Bendandi, who died in 1979, was an autodidact. Born in 1893, he predicted the earthquake of 13 January 1915, the Avenzzano, who had 11 degrees on the Mercalli scale that resulted in the deaths of 30,000 Italians. Then, at the May 6, 1976 in Friuli, which killed 1,000 people and left another 45,000 homeless. Bendandi gave almost accurate data about where disasters will occur, and about their day.

STS-134 (ISS assembly flight ULF6) is the penultimate voyage of NASA's Space Shuttle program. The mission will also mark the final flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour. This flight will deliver the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer and an ExPRESS Logistics Carrier to the International Space Station. Mark E. Kelly will serve as the mission commander. The Launch On Need mission, a contingency mission to rescue a stranded STS-134 crew, would be the STS-335 flight, flown by Atlantis.

NASA managers have set the lift-off for 8:56 a.m. EDT on Monday. Launch attempts are available through May 26, except for May 21. The STS-134 mission to the International Space Station is the penultimate shuttle flight and the final one for Endeavour.

Pakistan Islamists to protest vs US bin Laden raid

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's most influential Islamist party urged its followers to hold mass rallies on Friday to demand their government withdraw its support of the U.S. war on militancy after U.S. commandos killed Osama bin Laden near Islamabad.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), one of the country's biggest religious political parties, said the United States had violated the sovereignty of key ally Pakistan by sending its own forces into the garrison town of Abbottabad to kill the al Qaeda leader.

Pakistan's support is key to U.S. efforts to combat Islamist militants, and also to fighting against the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan.

"Even if there was any sympathy for the Americans, that would dissipate after the way they crushed and violated our sovereignty and our independence," JI chief Syed Munawar Hasan told Reuters on Thursday.

"We have appealed to everyone to hold peaceful demonstrations on Friday on a very large scale," he said. "Our first demand is Pakistan.... should withdraw from the war on terror."

Anti-American sentiment runs high in Pakistan, despite billions of dollars in aid for the nuclear-armed country with a troubled economy. Pakistan's religious parties have not traditionally done well at the ballot box, but they wield considerable influence in a country where Islam is becoming more radicalized.

There have so far been few public protests in Pakistan against bin Laden's killing early on Monday at Abbottabad, 50 kms (31 miles) north of Islamabad. One of Pakistan's most violent militant groups, Lashkar-e-Taiba, held special prayers for the al Qaeda leader and called his death "martyrdom."

The United States war on militancy is unpopular in Pakistan, because of the often high civilian cost of drone attacks against suspected militants along the Afghan border. But many people are also critical of al Qaeda's radical interpretation of Islam and the suicide bombings its followers carry out.

The fact that bin Laden was killed in Pakistan, after having appeared to have lived there for several years, has also embarrassed many people in the government and the country's powerful spy agency. Reuters via GMANews
