Osama bin Laden Execution Video on Facebook, a scam! Don't click it!

Alleged Osama bin Laden Execution Videos are making the rounds on Facebook saying they show the actual raid made by the US Navy Seals in Abbottabad, Pakistan which killed the terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. Don't fall for them! They are either scams or malwares. And there are no Osama bin Laden execution videos yet except for the animation made by a news organization which can be found on Youtube.

Take for example below which says BBC News - Osama Bin Laden Death Video!

Its other alternate messages are the following:
Osama Bin Laden EXECUTION Video!
This is so crazy they killed Osama Bin Laden, check out the exclusive pictures!)
Osama Bin Laden Killed! WARNING GRAPHIC PICTURES
Clicking the link will lead you to a page where you will be asked to answer a survey before you could watch the said video. And when you click on submit it will then hi-jack your account and spam your Facebook friends as well.

If you have not clicked on them, yet. You may post this

PLEASE READ AND REPOST! WARNING: There is a video circulating around Facebook of a BBC video of the killing of Osama Bin Laden, supposedly made by US troops. It is a VIRUS!! Spread the news because it's circulating fast!!

If you already did, clean-up your newsfeeds and profile to remove references to the scam. To do this, just click the "X" in the top right hand corner of the post.

Here are more suggestions from Facecrooks.com:

***If you made the mistake of submitting your cell phone number for any of the surveys, then you should contact your carrier immediately to keep any bogus charges from appearing.

***If you downloaded files or games while completing the survey scam, then your computer could very well be infected with a virus. Install and or update your anti-virus software and run a complete system scan.

Meanwhile, an Internet security firm advised Internet users to use best practices when searching for information online, including:

Use a trusted security suite – Make sure you are protecting your computer against unknown threats with a comprehensive security solution.

Put yourself on high alert – Don’t open emails or attachments from people you don’t know, even if it sounds too good to be true. Online criminals commonly use shocking or sensational headlines in emails to lure people into falling for online scams.

Don’t click on that link – Beware of shortened links found through social networking news feeds – they may be redirecting you to fake websites laden with malicious software. Manually enter website addresses into your browser to make sure you’re getting the news from trusted websites. -Newsbytes.ph

Facebook's Like Button Celebrates 1st Birthday

To celebrate the first anniversary of the button, Facebook posted an image on its official profile showing how the like Button appears to people across the world in as many as 75 different languages. "Happy 1st birthday, Like button! For a one-year old, the Like button sure has a lot of friends. More than 10,000 sites add the Like button every day. Tell us what the Like button has meant to you," said the Facebook comment on the image.

In Filipino or tagalog 'Like' means 'Gusto' or 'To Like' means 'Gustuhin' as shown on the image.

Facebook first introduced the 'Like' Button on April 21, 2010 at its F8 developer's conference, along with Facebook Open Graph and instant personalization. Through the 'Like', Facebook spread its social footprint across the web. 50,000 websites installed the 'Like' button in its first week, and that number rose to 100,000 in less than a month.

Facebook is safer social network compare to other social networks

most  of the  people  in the  world  confuses
which  social network is safe  as  per
 my  knowledge and  little survey
Face book is quite  safer and  user friendly

few words about facebook  from  people  view

Kimmy :-Facebook is quite safe. You can alter your privacy settings so only your friends can see your profile, and if you don't want some of your friends seeing everything, you can give them limited access to your profile

Lexi :-I feel that facebook is safe.... however this is probably because I got facebook when it was too and only college students could join (you needed a student email).

However, facebook and myspace are both safe if you are careful about them. Don't put up personal information and don't try to meet strangers over them and you should be fine.

Also... facebook does not have lots of spam

John :- i definitely think facebook is safe. what makes a facebook safe is the privacy settings! you can allow certain people to see certain parts of your profile. like people you don't know that well can be placed on your "limited profile list" which means you choose what they can see, including personal info, contact info, certain applications, etc. myspace has none of that. it's either all or nothing. not the case with face. go to www.facebook.com & view the tour. it explains the privacy settings. you know how on facebook, you have "comments" ? and "top 8" and all that jazz? you can allow certain people to see your wall, etc. so if you're skeptical about someone you don't know that well, just don't allow them to see your entire profile. it's the best feature. there are so many features that facebook has that myspace doesn't. there are no pedophiles on facebook because no one can view your profile depending on your privacy settings. like, i have my privacy settings set to only my friends& NO one else. people can add me & message me, but they can't see my actual profile. it's not safe if you don't bother editting your privacy settings, but that's just about it.

i posted  small  group  people  thoughts  about  Facebook  there are  so many  people  have  same  idea
if  u  like  to add   some  to  this  blog comment this
thank  you all

Woman Needs 1 Million Facebok Friends to Get Married

Kelly Coxhead, 32, got engaged 10 years ago and has since then been trying to convince her fiancee to set a wedding date. Now, she’s closer than ever to tying the knot, all she needs is 1 million Facebook friends.

Fiancee Paul Mappelthorpe, a mechanic who lives with Kelly in Swindon, England, has now become arguably the most unromantic man in Britain after refusing to marry his partner until she gets one million Facebook users to join a group. While other women would have probably left him after hearing such a ridiculous claim, Ms. Coaxhead actually set up a group called ‘I NEED 1 MILLION PEOPLE TO JOIN FOR PAUL TO MARRY ME C’MON GUYS HELP ME lol’, and began asking family and friends to join.

”It just came out of nowhere. I thought ‘a million’ that sounds good.” Paul says, ”When you think there’s 67 billion people in the world it’s less than 0.1 per cent. I just like a challenge and I like the idea of setting a challenge for her. It’ll give her something to look at on Facebook.”

The description to Kelly’s group reads ”we been together 10 years and i think its about time he got off his stubborn arse and married me…..lol he just informed me that i need to get 1 million people to join…..lol so come on join prove to him that i can do it….hahaha.”, and judging by the publicity she’s getting after British media picked up her story, she might just make it. She only started the group a little over a week ago, and she already has over 27,000 followers, and the number is soaring pretty fast.

To his defense, Paul says ”Even her dad hasn’t joined yet. He must be on my side.” Just to be clear, Kelly needs to get to 1 million friends before 11/11/11, if she wants to get married on her dream date.
