AJ Perez’ MMK Episode Tops Saturday Ratings both on AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media

AJ Perez last acting performance tops Mega Manla and Nationwide ratings in his portrayal on "Maalaala Mo Kaya" (MMK)  episode titled "Tsinelas".

Here are the Top 10 Primetime programs on April 30, 2011 among Mega Manila households (Household Ratings):

4. Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (GMA-7) - 16.5%
5. TV Patrol Weekend (ABS-CBN) / Mind Master (GMA-7) - 15%
6. Spooky Nights: The Ringtone (GMA-7) - 14.3%
7. Imbestigador (GMA-7) - 12.6%

After the show, AJ's family, who now manages AJ's Twitter account, tweeted and thanked those who watched the said episode.

Steph Ayson, AJ's girlfriend, also tweeted what she feels towards AJ that time. "You're still very much alive to me. I hope you can feel how proud I am of you up there in heaven. @ajperez17 #ajperezmmk."

AJ Perez' "Tsinelas" MMK Episode Garners A 26.8 Percent Rating from Mega-Manila*

The Tsinelas episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) was the highest rated show last Saturday.
The late AJ Perez starred in the "road tele-play" opposite child star, Bugoy Carino.
Tsinelas  is the story about two brothers who chose to walk from Manila to Samar to escape the city's hatred and oppression.
Director Dado Lumibao told PEP in an interview that working with Perez just before his death on March 17, 2011 was the most fulfilling episode he has ever done.

Because of ABS-CBN's massive promotion and the timely showing of the much anticipated program - less than 2 weeks after Perez' death - MMK's heartwarming  weekend offering posted a 26.8 evening-rating from Mega-Manila.*

Sam Concepcion's Tribute to AJ Perez 'Gone Too Soon' - Video

Sam Concepcion sang Michael Jackson's "Gone Too Soon" during an interview on the Buzz on April 17th as a tribute to his co-member AJ Perez.

Antonello Joseph Sarte Perez (born February 17, 1993) is a Filipino actor, a member of ABS-CBN's circle of homegrown talents collectively known as Star Magic, a performer in ASAP Sunday Variety Show died at the age of 18, due to a vehicular accident in Panici, Tarlac.

While heading back to Manila from an event in Dagupan (Bangus Festival), A truck bumped at the side part of the van he was riding, where AJ's head was leaning. He was brought to Paniqui, Tarlac Clinic, dead already. Currently, AJ is one of the lead actors in Hit TV Show "Sabel" and a regular performer in ASAP, also a member of a teen male group "Gigger Boys".

Maalaala Mo Kaya April 30, 2011 episode is AJ Perez' last TV project.

He will be joined by Bugoy Cariño in this episode that could bring the young performer to an "actor" status if only he is still alive.

AJ Perez’s Burial Schedule

Here is the schedule of services for the late young actor AJ Perez:

April 23-24, 6PM – Novena
April 24, 4PM – Mass
April 25, 9AM – Prayer service, 7-8PM – Mass, 8PM – Necrological service
April 26, 6:30AM – Interment transfer of AJ’s remains to Christ the King main chapel, 9AM – Mass, 10AM – Procession-ride to Manila Memorial Park

Meanwhile, the corneal transplant of Lawrence Villanueva was a success. Villanueva is one of the recipients of AJ’s cornea. The other recipient is an 8-year old boy.

Fatima Soriano Not Eligible To Get AJ Perez' Cornea

Fatima Soriano, who is supposed to be the recipient of AJ Perez' cnea, is not capable of transplant according to Mrs. Fely Soriano, Fatima's mother.

Dr. Mae Singson, Fatima's eye doctor confirmed that the 17-year-old singing Marian devotee is not eligible for a corneal transplant since her problem are her retinas and no effective retinal transplants are available yet.

"Ang corneas niya ay normal. Ang problema sa kanya ay ang likod ng mata o ang kurtina ng mata called the retina. 'Yon ang defective sa kanya and it has been defective since pinanganak siya. So changing the cornea, which is sa harapan ng mata ay hindi makakabigay lunas sa kanyang karamdaman. To this day, wala pa tayong effective na retinal transplant," Dr. Singson said.

For her part, Fatima who remains ever faithful to God, wholeheartedly accepted the turn of events and said "if it's God's will, she'll gladly accept it".

Meawhile, Star Magic PR head Thess Gubi said that the Perez family has endorsed the cornea to the eyebank and whoever is compatible [with AJ's cornea] will be the beneficiary.

Representatives from Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines will personally meet and thank AJ's family for donating the late young actor's cornea. Eye Bank will then present a donor certificate to AJ's parent

AJ Perez' Cornea To Be Donated To Fatima Soriano

Tthe official statement of ABS-CBN that was sent by Mr. Bong Osorio, the station's Head of Corporate Communications:

"Kapamilya talent AJ Perez passed away early this morning after being rushed to a hospital in Tarlac. Together with his father, 2 road managers, a driver and an event marshal, they met a vehicular accident on their way back to Manila after a provincial show. ABS-CBN sympathizes with AJ's family on his untimely demise, and urges everyone to pray for the eternal repose of AJ's soul and for the family and loved ones he left behind"

The Family of AJ decided to donate the young actor's cornea to miracle child and blind singer Fatima Soriano.

Fatima, 17 and born on the same year AJ was born, happens to be Boy Abunda's guest in "The Bottomline" past midnight last night, exactly the same time when AJ met an accident and died.

Mr. Gerardo Perez, father of AJ, through his deceased son's twitter account(@ajperez17), said that the young actor's wake and public viewing will be held at La Salle Greenhills Chapel starting today, April 17, until Tuesday afternoon, April 19.

AJ Perez, ABS-CBN Talent, Dead in Car Accident

ABS-CBN star Antonello Joseph Sarte Perez, popularly known as AJ Perez, died after the vehicle (van) that his group was riding smashed with a passenger bus in Moncada, Tarlac  today. (March 17, 2011).

Perez' group came from a show in Dagupan City when they met the accident Sunday morning at around 12:10 am.

The "Sabel" actor, along with his five companions, was taken to Rayos Valentin Hospital in Paniqui town but the doctors have failed to revive the 18-year-old AJ.

Police officer 3 Lowel Directo, investigator of the Moncada police, said that their initial investigation shows the accident was not a head on collision.
According to AJ's dad, his wake will be held at La Salle Greenhills Chapel starting today until Tuesday (April 19)

Jessy Mendiola's "Sabel" Full Trailer

ABS-CBN is engaging to another young sexy-romance drama as young star Jessy Mendiola plays sweet and innocent young girl being involved with two young men AJ Perez and Joseph Marco in the upcoming teleserye "Sabel".

This upcoming coming of age series is a remake of Snooky Serna's 1981 launching movie "Bata Pa Si Sabel" under Regal Films.

"Sabel” will premiere on December 6 on the primetime block.

The Kapamilya network is once again engaging to a young sexy-romance drama theme via the new series entitled "Sabel" starring Jessy Mendiola, AJ Perez and Joseph Marco.
