Pacquiao to have a Star on Las Vegas Walk of Fame

Manny Pacquiao will have his own star in Hollywood's Walk of Fame. the star that Pacquiao will receive on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars will be the first by a Filipino athlete. Swindle, in the interview, said the organization is already completing paperwork. They will announce the schedule of the formal dedication soon.


Pacquiao, the number one pound for pound boxer in the world as ranked by Ring Magazine, is currently the WBC Super Welterweight World Champion and WBO Welterweight World Champion. The Boxing Writers Association of America has named him Fighter of the Decade for 2000–2009, the same award previously presented to legendary boxer Joe Frazier.

It was in Las Vegas ’ Thomas & Mack Center where Pacquiao got the IBF Super Bantamweight World Title in 2001, the first of many he would win in later years. He has since then fought numerous times in other venues in this city like Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand.
