Anna Wintour: Inspiration or Cause of Perspiration?

Both. Yes both. Commonly known as "Nuclear Wintour", Anna's interest in fashion journalism can be minutely credited to her father, the editor of a British daily. She was the inspiration behind the novel, 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Her sharply cut hair and perfect wardrobe are intimidating and she thrives off a reputation of being icy and inscrutable but despite that, she wields an enourmous influence over American fashion. Runway shows don't start until she arrives. As I typed that, the words 'Fashion Royalty' popped into my head. Her influences expand far and wide, she once persuaded Donald Trump to let Marc Jacobs use a ballroom at the Plaza Hotel for a show when Jacobs and his partner were short of cash. The upside of being so influential is that diva tantrums are allowed. "Yes, Hi, I'm Anna Wintour and I need you to reschedule the Milan Fashion Week." My, am I in complete awe? Do I wish to be half as much as she is one day? The answer to those is YES. I do. She is my inspiration. I'm at a stage in life where I'm choosing between Business, Fashion and Journalism and Mrs. Wintour combined all of those in excellence leaving a minor like me to look at her behind shining eyes. She's a savvy woman, and there's so much more I could say about her but I'm going to keep it summed down. But oh! I forgot to add that she even recieved honours from the Queen herself in 2008. Glory Glory Anna Wintour. May you dictate fashion for as long as you live.
