Not all was lost while I was in Japan. I came across a Japanese quilting magazine called Patchwork Club, and I found 3 pages full of Klosjes mini quilts in there that I just have to share with you.
Here are my 20 blocks made from bright scraps. After I finish these I will start another batch with more muted colours. I'm really looking forward to starting those.
This quilt was part of One Hundred Japanese Quilts exhibition. I didn't notice it before. It is called 'Seasonal Color' by Kumiko Hirose, and here what she has to say."The change of seasons in the beautiful city of Kyoto is captured in my quilt. The range of colors provide a constant impression on one's memory: cherry blossoms and garden flowers in springtime, vivid green leaves in early summer, yellow sunflowers against the blue summer sky, brilliant leaves in autumn and red fruits in winter trees. Kimono fabrics and metallics are framed with a border of chirimen silk from obiage (obi scarf)".
And here are scans from pages of Patchwork Club magazine. These quilts were made using Klosjes blocks with very interesting settings.

You see I was thinking of you while I was away. You might get some idea from these quilts. I must tell you that once I got settled into stitching these Klosjes babies I really loved it. I have been enjoying everyone's posts also. They are all very inspiring. Thanks everyone for a great project.
