Clearwater Beach today

It was an absolutely gorgeous day today and we decided to drive over to Clearwater Beach.  We left at 9am, stopped to buy bottled water (translation:  Pellegrino in plastic bottles), refueled the vehicle, and arrived at the beach 10am-ish. 

Parking was at a premium, the first lot was full.  Drove a bit further and there was a public lot that still had availability.  Note to selves:  get there at 9am next time.

We rented a beach umbrella and 2 chairs, which is so much easier than schlepping all that beach stuff.  I caught up on the latest issue of People magazine, the one with Prince William and just-might-be his fiancee.  Palace announcement is expected in June, according to the article.  My gosh, does this kid have his mother's eyes!!!

But I digress.  After a bit we went in the water to cool off and Peter paid me the nicest compliment.  He said "you really have slimmed down and you really can tell that you've lost weight.  And that's just not husband talk, either."

What a guy.
