Pre and Post Christmas Blues

I usually get Christmas blues except this year where I was so busy I didn't have time for the blues. I was prepared to get it, but because this is my DG's first Christmas and she spent it with us. You know how busy you can get with a baby. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her and her parents. We did many enjoyable things around nap and feeding times! They left the weekend after the New Year and I started back to work the next day. Phew, the blues didn't have time to get me LOL!!! I have some pics of pre and post Christmas to show you below.
I put the hearts to rest until next year. I have been making hearts for the last 3 years, but I haven't got enough to fill the tree yet. For this year heart I made using the same pattern, but I decorated it differently. I will continue to make more hearts for next Christmas and I hope you will join me to make some for yourselves. I have a copy of Pdf pattern if anyone would like a copy please leave me a comment.
My bare tree after I removed the decorations excepted the star on top. Don't you think it looks lonely and sad standing empty like this? You know, Christmas will be here again before you realize it.
Pre Christmas all night shopping! Can you believe we got sucked into it? DH was in a bit of a panic a few days before Christmas that he hadn't got me any presents so after work we took ourselves to the biggest mall in Southern hemisphere (that's what they claimed) Chadstone in Melbourne. We walked for miles and miles. We didn't get anything for me, but got more for the kids. Anyway, we enjoyed the dinner there and by the time we left at 9:30 pm people were only just turning up. We did well not to get sucked into staying all night...!

On a different note, I've signed up for a Friday Night Sew-In host by Bobbi and Heidi. It sounds like a fun thing to do to get me away from this BOX for at least one night! If you want to join in just scoot over before this Friday and sign up.
