Mid-morning walk

It was a tad brisk this morning and Peter & I decided to walk down to the St. Pete Times Forum.

As we were along the river, we looked over to University of Tampa Boat House and noticed 3 people were on the ramp. And one guy was in his kayak on the water. Until he tipped the kayak and ended up in the water. Oh noooo .... of all days. His buddies cheered to him to swim towards the kayak and push it to the dock.

He eventually did. One buddy grabbed the vessel, one buddy grabbed him out of the water. Ohmygosh, he had to be freezing in that water! I'm sure he thought "why couldn't this have happened in the middle of June, July or August." (Or May or September or October).

He got out of the water unhurt and I'm sure they'll be laughing over this incident once back at the dorm.

And, oh, our walk got shortened by 3-4 blocks as we changed our destination to the Hyatt downtown then we headed back to the condo. It was just too damn cold this morning.
