WillKat - The Wedding of The Century

Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton married at Westminster Abbey on Friday, the 29/04/11 in a sumptuous show of British pageantry that attracted a huge world audience and breathed new life into the monarchy. It most certainly was the biggest wedding of the century. As Kate made her way up the aisle, William whispered "You look beautiful" and she let out a shy smile. Talk about AWW moments. :') The princess bride wasn't keeping dress details just from the public; she was keeping them from her husband-to-be. Prince William finally saw the gown after many of the wedding watchers. Kate went to great lengths to make sure he did not catch a glimpse of it until she met him at the altar.

Kate wore a long sleeved dress with lace appliqué bodice, satin gazar pleated skirt and nine-foot train by the Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton for her marriage service at Westminster Abbey.
Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing. Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen’s work. Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress. The wedding shoes have made hand-made by the team at Alexander McQueen and are made of ivory duchesse satin with lace hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. The veil is held in place by a Cartier ‘halo’ tiara, lent to Middleton by the Queen. While Prince William did have the option to wear a normal suit, he chose to wear Military attire like his father, Prince Charles, and his uncle, Prince Andrew.
I loved Kate's fuss-free makeup.
