Christmas Joint Giveaways Winners

Happy New Year. I would like to wish you all the best of 2011. Another decade passing us by in a flash! I trust that you all had a lovely and safe holiday. We spent time away with DG and her family which was the best kind of holiday we could wish for.

Thank you so much for the well wishes you left for me in your comments and also to those who entered my giveaways. Sorry there can only be 2 winners. Below are the winners for each set of prizes. The winners win 2 prizes each. One from me and one from Loani.
Winner # 1 for the above prizes is: Anne Marie - Toronto. Thanks and congratulations to Anne Marie. I hope you will enjoy both of our gifts and make use of Loani's wonderful but slightly wild tea cosie patterns book.
Winner # 2 for the above prizes is: Librarylass.  Thanks and congratulations to Librarylass. I'm sure you will enjoy our gifts.

Loani and I had a wonderful time with our Christmas Joint Giveaways. We both agree that it's a fun way to have joint giveaways. So I hope to see more of joint giveaways on Blogland in the future. Thanks Loani for contributing your great books for the gifts.

What is in store for you in 2011? For me, I hope to make a trip somewhere interesting again this year. I have also signed up for another of Jude's online workshop starting later on in January. I'm also looking forward to becoming a GM for a second time soon too. So, it's an exciting year ahead for me. Whatever you are doing, just ENJOY, ENJOY!

Love

Birthday Giveaway Winners

Thank you so much, wow! All the birthday wishes were overwhelming. I can't belived it. Now I don't mind if my birthday comes round again far too quickly LOL! Thanks each and everyone of you for my birthday wishes and the entries to my giveaway. Sorry I didn't respond to any comments because we were away, but I've read each and everyone of your comments, thank you.

I did the draw when I got home late last night using random number generator. The winner for giveaway # 1 is Lois from Dewberrydaze. Lois won the red and white tot-bag - Congratulations Lois and thanks for taking part in my birthday giveaway.
The winner for givaway # 2 is Teresa of Fabrictherapy. Teresa won the cute pair of SCISSOROO - Congratulation Teresa and thanks for taking part in my birthday giveaway.

I had fun organising the birthday giveaway. All through the year I plan for the prizes to giveaways that I hold twice a year on my blog. One is for my birthday and another is at Christmas. This is the time I meet new bloggers as well. During these time we take a break either to spend with family or get away somewhere.

I will be showing you what I got for my birthday in my next post. Because we were away on my birthday, I am slowly opening a pile of presents I received from friends around the world. Some years my birthday lasts a whole month. Mr Notjustnat once mentioned that, "these ladies would never give up!" because I was still received presents well into October. I'm so lucky to have great friends to exchange birthday presents with even if we don't see each other that often. Thanks to each and everyone of you and I will be emailing you soon.

Blog Keeping

2010 could be a really fun year or a really busy year. I have already taken part in the Friday Night Sew-in in January and signed up for the next one on Friday Feb. 19th. Soon after that I had fun playing with hearts at the Valentine Sewing Party with Kelly and Joan. They are already talking about hosting another one again soon. That's not all, I signed up for the Lazy Gal Liberated Amish 2010 Get together that Tonya is hosting and that wasn't the last. Ria and I are working on the Featherweight Challenge making the rail fence quilt which I posted here.

I pre-ordered Liberated Quiltmaking II by Gwen Marston before Christmas and it has finally arrived. I only had a chance to skim through it briefly and can't wait to read it from cover to cover. Don't you love that quilt on the cover?

If you have not heard of the Friday Night Sew-in, go on over to Heidi and check it out. Click on the above button and it will take you there. With Dear Jane helped I figured out how to post a hyper-linked, thanks Janey!
2010 is not only a busy year for me, but it's a lucky year too. At the end of 2009 I won a giveaway from Simone de Klerk, but with the slowness of postal service at Christmas I only received my gift this year. It's a pattern from Cinderberry Stitches of the needle keeper plus embroidery threads.Thank you Simone.

That's not all. In January I won the hand dyed silk ribbons giveaway from Debbie of Blissfully Stitching. What yummy looking ribbons! Thanks Debbie for the wonderful gift. I don't normally win in giveaways, but to win 2 in a couple of months, that's not like me. My luck must have changed for 2010, let's hope so!

If that's not busy enough for me this year. At Easter DH and I are taking our holiday to New Zealand and Japan. DH is originally from NZ and we regularly go back to visit, but we have not been to Japan before. We are both really looking forward to it. We are lucky enough that our really good friend Lesley (no blog) has been living there for the last 15 years. Lesley insisted that we spend half of our time with her so she can show us around her part of Japan in Kanazawa. I think that is all for my blog keeping for now. Not a lot of stitching these last weeks, but we did make a trip to see DG last weekend. More about that later.

One Year Blogiversary -THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

To celebrate my one year of blogging I'm posting giveaways to thank all my friends and followers for your support since I started blogging a year ago today. How I started blogging was DD Kit was home with us last Christmas. Kit had been blogging for a long time and had two blogs going at the time. She kept telling me that I should start blogging and share what I do. I have already created a blog with the name Notjustnat, but didn't do anything with it. Kit took me through a few steps and I have never look back. I can't imagine life without blogging!

The giveaways will be drawn on the evening of Sunday 3rd. January. In the meantime I will have a little break from blogging while my family are here with us. Because this giveaways is close to Christmas, the gifts are somewhat Christmas related. My gifts are what I have them for myself and would like to share them with you too.

This is how to enter:
  • If you are not yet one of my followers please sign-in as my follower to be eligible for this giveaways.
  • Post about my giveaways somewhere on your blog to spread the word around to your friends.
  • Leave a comment on this post to let me know that you are entering for the giveaways.
  • Make sure you include your email for me to contact you if you are a winner.
Below are what you can win:
An embroidery stitches and projects book Made in France, that I've got for my birthday and love it. I found another copy and got it for the giveaways prize. A pair of Chinese scissors and a fob of Chinese coin. Last item is one of the heart ornaments I made at Christmas.
This is what the cover of the book Made in France looks like. This book contains 3 colors to choose from. Blue, Red and Tan. It's ideal for a Christmas project. The small Chinese embroidery scissors are ideal for hand embroidery and the heart ornament can be used for next Christmas.
A peek inside the book. Red cross-stitches patterns you can make something Christmasie with.
Alphabet and number pattern to create the names of your loved ones for handmade cards or stockings.
Some cross-stitch patterns of baubles and Babushka dolls in red or whatever color you wish to use.

I guess this will become my giveaways tradition in the future. One in August for my birthday and one in December for Blogiversary. Thank you all for your support and the kind words you have left in your comments. I have been enjoying blogging. I have met and made so many wonderful friends through blogging and this is a small thank you gesture from me to all of you...!

The Winner of the Birthday Giveaways

We returned from our mini vacation tonight (Sunday 23 August). Without delay, I got busy preparing for the giveaway draw. My random generator system consists of typing out all the entries, cutting them up into strips, and putting them all in a hat. I then got DH to draw one out for me. I think that this is as fair as it can be.

Here he is in action drawing a name out of the hat!

And the winner is Anna of QUILTMUM'S JOURNEY. Congratulation Anna and thanks for your entry.

These are your winning prizes:

A handmade journal with log-cabin cover and a Patchwork Bags Magazine. I am sure you will like them.

This was my first giveaway since I started blogging 8 months ago. I really enjoyed the process. I enjoyed planning it, making the journal, and looking for something to go with it. I am already thinking of another giveaway at around Christmas time.

Thanks everyone for your enties. I am sorry I did not respond to any of you because I was away from home and the only internet connection was through my iPhone. Typing with one finger is never a favorite of mine!
