The Ind-Expo Certification Company, with the collaboration of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC), has launched a project to encourage the upgrading of food storage, food preparation and food supplying in organizations such as hotels, restaurants, bakeries and super markets that are engaged in supplying food to the public. This project, aimed at improving the cleanliness, the hygiene and the taste of the food the public buy, is named the "Crowns for Food Hygiene" project. The company is planning to expand this project, initially launched within the CMC limits, to cover the whole of the island, with the active participation of the health authorities.
