Tango shoes

Are these shoes gorgeous, or what????

I figure since I won't be flying to Buenos Aires, or taking tango lessons anytime soon, maybe I'll at least buy a pair of tango shoes.

The main character of the current book I'm reading states that the shoes should be black patent, t-strap, mid-heel.  Well ... I don't know about the mid-heel part.  I'm not really sold on that idea.

Anyway, I found these shoes online.  While they're not exactly what I had in mind, at least it's a general idea.

I like these, too, but the heel is too chunky. And too low.
