Yesterday

I had a nice day off yesterday.  Full, but nice.  Left early morning to visit both moms.  I stopped at my mom's first.  We chatted a bit, then I did some computer-related stuff for her, did her grocery shopping for her while a greeting card program was being downloaded.  The timing was perfect because just as I returned from Publix and walked into her apartment, the program was at the very end of downloading.

I left Mom's at 10:30am, got to the nursing home to visit Peter's mom at 11a.  Visited with her till 11:30am.  (Really, half an hour of listening to her fabricated stories is about as much as anyone can take.  She swears that what we talk about in her room is being listened to, and that there's voices coming from the a/c vents.)  I tried to assure her that George W. Bush is out of office now ....

Left there at 11:30a to drive to Celebration to meet Mimi for lunch at 12n.  We at a neat Italian restaurant, D'Antonio's.

We stayed till 2:30pm.  Then I drove home in clear skies till Plant City.  Then the rain came.  And from the 16 mile marker to 13 mile marker ... OMG, the rain was torrential.  Fortunately I could see the solid yellow line on the left.  But unable to see the white stripes on the right.

And then the rain let up for the lat 13 miles.  Crazy.

I took a nap from 3:45-5:30pm, then at 6:15p left for Corvette Club meeting.  Finally got home for the day at 8pm.  Jeez, talk about a full day!
