Off-site parking at work

During peak promotion periods, employees are required to park in the off-site parking lot.  It's located approximately 3 miles away, and a shuttle runs continuously.

I've never parked there.  But I've heard from several people that the lot is pretty crappy.  Not paved.  It's dirt that's very well compacted, except when it rains. Then the lot is pretty rugged.

Smitty (the guy with the Mustang) said he hates parking there.  And then continued "you've got a nice Vette and if I were you, I'd do everything NOT to park in that off-site lot."

Fortunately, all off-site parking days have been days that Peter could drop me off and pick me up.  Hell, I don't even know where the lot is.  Guess I should find it one of these days, just in case my "chauffeur" isn't available.  ha!

I don't know if I've mentioned Smitty previously, or not.  I was on I-4 one morning and noticed a Mustang in my rear view mirror.  He got off at the same exit that I did.  And turned the same direction I did.  And stayed behind me all the way through the parking garage.

Once our vehicles were parked, we commented to each other about how good the vehicles sounded (we each had our exhaust system changed.  Mine was done by a Chevy dealer, his ... he did it himself.)

Nice guy.  Young.  But so very nice.
