This was one of my recent check-outs from the library. While it was on my stack of to-be-reads, I saw it mentioned in a current magazine as a Must Read.
I started it this morning, continued it while at nail salon, got to 100+ pages (out of close to 400) and it still hadn't grabbed my interest. I was determined to put it on my pile of books that I'm returning to the library.
This afternoon I was flipping through another magazine, and lo and behold, there's the book mentioned again. It's making me nutz.
Hmmm ... so this must be really good, if it's getting mentioned so frequently.
But I read 100 pages of it, and I don't care for it.
Go ahead, pick it back up, maybe it will get better.
Nope, I've gone way past my page allotment and I'm not going to finish it.
It's on the stack to return to the library tonight. Once Peter gets home we're going to walk downtown and have dinner at Pizzaiola (peez-i-oh-la) and we'll be walking right past the library.
