Teacher tenure

A bill before the Gov of FL is to eliminate teacher tenure.  And there's much angst throughout the state.

Of course, I'm looking at it from Corporate America side, where's there's no free ride and there's no guarantee.

I mean, isn't it enough that teachers get the entire summer off?  And Spring Break.  And 2 weeks at Christmas.  Now they want job security, too?  All I can say is "Welcome to the real world."

And I won't even go into how they spend 4 years getting a teaching degree, then either do nothing with it or whine about how low the salary is.  I mean, shouldn't you have thought of that before you chose teaching as a profession?
