Happy Australia Day and New Blogs Found

This is going to be a short post to wish you Happy Australia Day and a happy day to all my readers. It's an added bonus to have a holiday in the middle of the week. We are taking it easy as most Australians will do today. Most people are at the beach and so many are at Rod Lever Arena to watch the Australia Open. As tradition goes I cooked roast lamb for lunch which was delicious. The weather is just perfect for staying at home. I hope to quilt after I get off from this box!

Today I would like to introduce you to three new Australian blogs. I know that you good bloggers out there will go and give them support and cheer them on. Remember when we were new once?

Happy Australia Day

Yarn Garden by Kaite this blog is not new, but it's new to me. Kaite's mother Coralie was my fellow basket maker and Kaite is a mixed media and textile artist. I'm so delighted to have met Kaite through her blog. Textile, fabric and fiber are all intertwined; we can create them into our art. Kaite and Coralie live in Bathurst where my family and I lived when we returned from overseas.

Terry's New Thread. I met Terry when I lived in Bathurst. Terry joined our group the Flying Geese Quilters when she retired from her job as an Art Teacher. We connected straight off. Terry is a very talented quilter. She's already a member of the CWBQ blog. With my nagging for her to start a blog, she finally did.

Dragonfly Gypsy. This one belongs to Sharron in NSW. Sharron was one of my blog readers. She has been quilting for 26 years. Sharron will have many beautiful quilts to show us on her blog. I'm looking forward to seeing them all.

Please join me to welcome them and I'm sure you will give them support and encouragement to begin the road to blogging. Enjoy the rest of Australia Day...♥
