Laundry

2:45p
I got all the laundry done today. Washed, folded and stacked for when Peter comes home Thursday night. Really, it's the least I could do since he's working and I'm not. Have that laundry done. All of it.

It's always amazed me when stay-at-home-wives don't do daily household chores when their husbands are out in the workforce. Or run errands for them, like picking up laundered shirts from the cleaners.

Let's take executive wives for instance. Nothing else to do all day except lollygag around at the country club all day. Sometimes not even fix dinner for their husbands. Imagine that.

I was talking to a girlfriend that I used to work with at SunTrust and we reminisced about how we used to laugh at the executive wives when they'd come up to the bank. With their country club hair (translation: not a hair out of place), driving their Lexus or Mercedes. One time one wife made the comment "I'm going for a massage now". How nice. I was always totally disgusted with them.

But ... that's a life I'll never have.
