Wood Workshop

A lot of things are happening around my blogging life. Today I will let you in on some of them. We moved into our home that we renovated three years ago. Everything was completed except the fence. We had the fence pillars built when the house was renovated. Finally we came up with the idea to build a wooden fence between the pillars. My husband Tom is quite handy with woodwork and with some help from the wood yard assistant, he is on his way to building us the fence.

This is our double garage that can only fit one car at present. We still have a lot of boxes we have not unpacked and also some of the old furniture that would be perfect for the children one day. With the car parked on the driveway Tom is happily working away in the garage.

Skipping all the drilling and cutting stages, here is the completed  section of the fence. It needs to be exposed to the elements for a few weeks before we can oil it.

He is a happy man! The last plank was screwed in place. I insisted that he pose in front of his handy work for my blog.

I keep saying that the rose season is over for the year, but to my surprise they keep coming back. I took this photo on Sunday morning when the dew drops were still on the flower. What a treasure to enjoy every time I enter the garden.
