Happy Father's Day - USA

Our children went to the American Community School when we were living overseas, and they have always celebrated Father's Day on June 21st. I will keep with that tradition even though we are living back in Australia now. On this day I would like to honor both fathers in my family. The first is my DH and for the first year of becoming a father is my DS who has just given us a gorgeous GD in January this year.

Like Father Like Son!

"Make your dad feel really special as you reach out to him with a warm thought" This is for all the fathers that happen to come across this message.

Both of my men are a prolific readers and they have the same passion for history. It makes it easy for me to get presents for them. Because I work in a library I always come across books that I know they would enjoy reading.

The quilt in the photo above is the lap quilt I made for DH a few years ago and it is the most used quilt I have made. It is a flannel scrap quilt. Some of the fabric came from used flannel shirts.

Another special mention today to congratulates my DS and DIL for their first wedding anniversary on June 21st. Congratulations to both of you and thanks for the beautiful GD you gave us.
