It was our Sewing Basket of Victoria (
SBOV) monthly meeting today. We set out the themes for each meeting early on in the year and today's theme was Mother's Day being May. Lynette and I are both grandmothers so we came dressed up in Grandma gear. I want to show off my Mother's Day quilt again, but this time with a real rose from our garden. I think it will be the last one for this season. We did not have any project in particular to work on, so we just worked on our UFOs hand projects. We had a lovely day just chatting about life and the world in general.
This little quilt was the one I made for
Happy Mother's Day I posted at the beginning of May, but my friends did not see it before in real life so I showed it off to them again. The red rose is from our garden and I thing it might be the last one for the season.
This is me with my Granny t-shirt I made yesterday with the word
Yah on it.
Yah means grandmother in Thai. The full instructions on how to piece letters block is over at
Tonya's blog.
Lynette rocked up in her Granny mink and her handmade hat. This is a hat for all occasions. The hat suits you Lynette.
You cannot see Lynda's Granny slippers, but she was wearing them. Lynda finished her crazy quilt bag she started in 2007 here at my house. This bag was the first stitching project I introduced to Lynda and Lynette. They have now moved on to quilts and all sorts of sewing projects.
Closed up of Lynda's CQ bag. You did a good job on it Lynda.
