HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I set off to work on this little quilt for Mother's Day to dedicate it to all mothers out there especially to my daughter-in-law who became a mother for the first time this year giving us our first grand daughter. Happy Mother's Day.

"A MOTHER IS ONE WHO CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF ALL OTHERS, BUT WHOSE PLACE NO ONE ELSE CAN TAKE"

It was one of those waste-not-want not Lovabel's block. I made a boo boo of it by making it in reverse. It was a perfect block using it by itself. I decided to make a Mother's Day quilt out of it. With a few heart blocks the quilt turned out very nicely. Please join me to celebrate this special day.

I am a luckiest mother in the world! I arrived home from work on Friday to find a lovely bouquet of Thai orchids waiting for me from my daughter Kitiya who lives in Sydney. With the orchids was a card which said "Dear Mum, Have a lovely Mother's Day and thanks for being a great Mum" Love from Kitiya. I was speechless because I only expected a phone call or a text message on the day, not a bouquet of lovely orchids. Thanks Kitiya and I love you too.

And that's not all, I turned around to find a pot of pink cyclamens from DH there for me as well. How lucky was I? I hope all of you mothers out there enjoyed your well deserved Mother's Day.

Enjoy
