Entries are being accepted for the Miss Latina U.S. 2005 Pageant which will be held in Cancun, Mexico on October 1, 2005.

The winner advances to the Miss Latin America world competition in November representing the USA.
The beauty pageant is open to single women of Latino or Hispanic heritage between the ages of 18 and 27.
Miss Latina U.S. beauty pageant will foster cultural awareness and stronger ties between the U.S. and Latin America.
Delegates to the beauty pageant are selected from across the USA through affiliate state beauty pageants or at-large process to vie for recognition and a prize package valued at over $15,000.00.
Prior to the Finals telecast, U.S. delegates will fulfill an array of activities beyond the compulsory rehearsals and pageant competitions that commence upon their arrival in Cancun on September 25th and include photo shoots, press conferences, local attractions, a fashion show and social events.
The Pageant Finals will be broadcast on TeleLatina.TV worldwide via the Internet and on local Mexican television, with future airings programmed in the U.S.
Performing guest artists, also from the U.S., are popular Reggaeton group La Familia, with Univision's Jackeline Cacho acting as emcee.
Last year's Miss Latina U.S. competition took place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and saw Graciela Stanley of Kansas take home the crown.
She went on to become First Runner-Up at the international competition.
Other previous title holders have come from Arizona, California, Florida, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah and Washington, D.C.
Applications to participate are being accepted through August 25th, 2005.
