Tyhoon Bebeng PAGASA Update- 5:00 p.m., 09 May 2011

PAGASA pdate as at 4:00 p.m. today, Tropical Storm "BEBENG" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 50 km East of Tuguegarao City (17.5 °N, 122.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move North at 15 kph.


Forecast:
Northern Luzon will have occasional rains and occasional gusty winds becoming stormy over the Eastern section. The rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will experience cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas and coming from the South over the rest of Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the South with slight to moderate seas.
