G5 PowerBooks on Tuesday!
 :D
I think MacBooks will get Merom in their second revision. Either way, I'm liking Intel's relentless surge.

I would sell my Macbook in an instant to buy a MacTablet.

I guess I can see Apple's point. But, aren't all tablets going to have a similar style and interface? It would seem like there can be only marginal differences in a touch screen interface.
Not really. Google is actually pretty different from iOS. It's Samsung who chose to edit the interface and all those icons to look like iPhone. That's why Apple is going straight after Samsung. Android OS has some similarities but overall they are pretty different.

that example is based on an impossible scenario (according to the rest of the rules) because the hero has more HP than AP while the max for both should be the level
it still illustrate the mechanics, but it does introduce confusion. that's why i had dropped it in my re-write. the second example is clearer

What uncanny timing-- a couple of days after Intel comes out with their 3D chip thing, sending ARM's share price tumbling to artificially affordable prices, this rumour comes out which, if widely accepted, would boost ARM's share price greatly. Someone could potentially make a lot of money out of this. Especially as Semiaccurate's sources are anonymous, I reckon this rumour should be treated with great scepticism.
I didn't think ARM's stocks would be so volatile.

I went and found sources on my own.
Okay. But this is a forum ... an online discussion (or an online cocktail party as I like to think about it). So hear we are at the party and you've just told me that our discussion is over until I've read a 1,000 page book.
So...
Yeah...
Uhhh ... did I see sushi at the buffet table?
Nice chatting with you.

uuumm...yes I do want my MP on the desk. On the floor is where all the **** and dust is.
Agreed.. Under a desk it has less airflow, more dirt and crap.
Actually I prefer it being under the desk because it looks cleaner but it is NOT better for the computer. I don't know what that guy is smoking.

I can't reccommend dropbox enough - I can't believe I only signed up a few months ago. iphone app is great.

How does this affect T-Bolt? How about the tri-gate technology released by Intel the other day. Sounds like Intel is making huge strides in their processors.
I hope this is just a rumor.

and?
You essentially say that math, which humans use as a language, is taught incorrectly in regards to evaluating expressions because there is a "right way" of doing it without going into how one should evaluate it.
Order of operations is paramount to understand as it is a fundamental concept yet you state that following the order of operations is wrong in this case...why?

Reuters reports (http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/04/20/us-apple-iphone-idUSTRE73J0OE20110420) that the next generation iPhone will start production in July and likely shipping in September.Reuters cites three people "familiar with the matter". The brief news article also claims that the new iPhone will have a faster processor but "will look largely similar to the current iPhone 4". No other details are provided, but the timeline is in line with recent rumors about the iPhone 5.
The faster processor will likely be the Dual-Core A5 processor that was introduced alongside the iPad.

Not cool. Coming from an iPhone 3GS, I seriously don't want to wait.
I'm still on the 3G! I really can't wait for the new iPhone! My contract is up in July.

That's par for the course for him. It'd be a page one story if he ever WASN'T spreading FUD.
I don't see any location consent popups on my iPhones here.
Are you serious? You're not looking very hard. Or at all.

Iphone? I just can't see it... It will kill their ipod sales - it will be like shooting themselves in the foot. The reason is that all phones are now free with a contract - we have difficulty in having any value in our phones nowadays.. if you had a free iphone with a contract which had ipod facilities then why would you buy an ipod? It just doesnt make sense.. unless they ONLY sell it sim free. If they do bring one out then i'll certainly buy one, but I am not sure that it is such a good idea... I'd rather they produced a phone/pda hybrid like the xda - I think that this would fit better into their existing product portfolio..

I've always thought MobileMe should be a free service that comes as a benefit of owning a Mac. The usefulness of MobileMe just doesn't justify the $99 pricetag -- especially when other services offer something similar for free.

I am stuck in a limbo where I want the phone for everything that it does except the phone part...
Why in limbo? The "phone part" of the Iphone is widely acknowledged to be craptastic.

Maybe a new line, but I cant see the MBP line going ARM. Possibly the Airs. Windows 8 will be ARM compatible + x86 so it could happen...

That said, the iPhone as it stands is a nearly perfect device. .
A 'perfect' devices with a bad antenna design? Sorry, but I wouldn't touch the iPhone 4 because of its antenna design flaws and won't get an iPhone until Apple corrects that. Hardly perfect. Perfect for YOU maybe..

Of course you need to bring a mount - you need a mount either way. When I say "carry" I don't mean I keep it in a fanny pack 24/7. I mean I bring it with me when I travel. So let's count for the slow people...
Mount + Garmin + iPhone = 3 items
Mount + iPhone = 2 items
Gee - 2 is less than 3! Yay.
OK so for the slower people why would you separate the GPS unit and mount when it is being used on a day to day basis? The TomTom mounts are so slim and there is no other use for the unit so there is no point to separate the two for storage. The iPhone is mainly a phone and i would need to separate the two on a regular basis.
