Am I sensing doubt from the "fearless leader" already? I'd suggest you quit your whining and focus on the task at hand. Your decisions have already cost the group a healing treasure.
you couldn't sense a headless chicken if it hit you in the face!
Keep hiding behind your bony 'monsters' and your flimsy 'traps'.
i was already disarming traps ten times better the likes of yours for a few decades when your were still torturing kittens in your crib.
get your exit strategy ready, 'cause we are a-coming!
as far as that 'healing' treasure, i am sure it must have been one of your foul concoctions.
Good riddance, i say!

Depending on how you solve it, your answer is either 288 or 2.
Nothing is missing in the equation - no math symbol is missing between 2 and (9+3), so solve it as is.
Now, cast your vote! :)

Sure, but the "delay" could be that iOS 5 isn't ready yet and Apple isn't going to launch iPhone 5 w/o a full iOS update. Quite possible iOS5 engineers were temp. xfered to OS X 10.7 at this final stage to ensure it makes out the door on time and w/ fewest glitches possible. Once 10.7 goes GM iOS5 development will go back to normal speed.
Snow Leopard did not effect iOS release dates. If the iPad 2 was delayed like the rumors were suggesting then I would believe this, but it wasn't. So far all of Apple's releases for 2011 have been typical with their past schedules. No reason to think any different for this one.

Once again, the seperating into 'smartphone' and 'tablet' markets makes little sense.
As the capabilities of both devices grow we'll soon find that the only difference between the two is screen size.
Do we consider the 13" Macbook to be in a different market than the 15" Macbook Pro? No, they're both laptops.
And thus, everyone will soon wake up and realize that ALL iOS devices should be compared against ALL Android devices. These 'smartphone only' lists may still make sense in but in 2 or 3 years these kind of measurements will be seen as worthless.
Your argument is so inane it's barely worth a reply.
You do realize that not all tablets require a contract, right?
When it comes to laptops, the only thing that's different between a 13" and a 15" will be the screen size. But a tablet and a phone are INHERENTLY different.
My android tablet is wifi only and serves a totally separate function from my iPhone, my windows laptop, my linux server-cluster or my HTPC.
So why should tablets be dumped into the same category as mobile phones? Just because they share a slightly similar form-factor?
What if the next trend in smart phones is a clam-shell form-factor? Or a wearable hud? Or some implantable device?
Similar form factor does not mean their sales figures can, or should be compared.
Apple's to f'n oranges.
You're basically saying ... meh, they're both round and edible so they're the same.

Unfortunately, most posters here think Apple always acts in the best interests of its customers. Kind of cute, actually.
If it's customers want products that aren't on the shelves (iPad 2 buyers)...I don't exactly understand how RIM being kicked out of the queue hurts these people.
RIM could have created a decent product and demanded capacity from the worlds screen makers. why didn't they?

Yet you haven't convinced many here. Doesn't that indicate that perhaps you need to address it again, and perhaps find other ways to illustrate your point? It's not like I'm unwilling to be convinced. I just haven't heard a good reason to accept your argument.
Well, if you guys agreed with me then I would have to rethink my position. :D
It's kind of a prerequisite for a collapse that 99% of the population is unprepared.

Sounds just like some bloke from Apple. Snow Leopard's the last of the true desktop OS's.
Really? In what sick and twisted world are you living? What's so very different in Lion that it's "not true desktop OS"? Launchpad the end of all?

Yet more of Don't panic's questions:
you spoke about motivations, does that imply that the "end game" is different between the couple, the wizard and the adventurers? or is it just color?
Yes, their end-game goals are slightly different.
more: how long are the rounds? how large is the map? how long do you envisage this game lasting? is there a built-in clock of any sort?
The rounds are as long as you make it. That's why I require active participation - otherwise they could take forever. There is no built-in clock.
in the original post it said 2 points/turn, 2 turns/round, but in reality it is 1 point/turn? which is forfaited if the villain uses any action in the turn (place monsters/traps, heal, move)?
Every round, the villain gets 2 turns/points. If he moves, he uses one turn. Then he decides to heal, that takes another turn. Then the round is over for him, and when the next round comes, he gets another two turns. If in the previous turn he decides to do nothing, then the next round he will have four turns to play with.
Plutonius' questions:
1) Will it be real time or will it be 2 turns / 24 hours or something in between ?
No, it is two turns. No time limits or any kind of built-in clock.
2) What will our turn orders consist of and do we PM or use the thread (could you please post an example of a couple turns.) ?
The heroes use the thread, the villain PMs the GMs.
Example round:
Turn 1: Heroes discuss amongst themselves and decide to explore the room. They discover a trap that the villain placed and a treasure. They disarm the trap, and grab the treasure (automatic), and because they found a treasure, they level up.
Turn 2: Heroes discuss amongst themselves again, and decide on a door to take. They move to the next room, and meet a level 1 goblin. They fight and easily kill the goblin. The wizard takes one hit because random.org says so.
In the meanwhile, the villain has 3 turns - he has one turn remaining from last round, plus two turns from this round. The villain PMs the GMs saying he wants a lvl 4 gargoyle in that room. The gargoyle costs 3 turns. The villain now has 0 turns, and the gargoyle is placed in the said room.
Round ends.
3) Do we talk to each other through the thread or PMs ?
Everyone talks in the thread. Only the Villain uses PMs.

I don't understand why people are complaining about the Bluetooth and wireless not being included. These are not portables, they won't move, and in many cases professionals don't care if the keyboard is wired or want it wired for some specific reason. Wireless internet is for portable computers folks, not a big hunk of aluminum that will sit on the floor or desk permanently. Wired is also still faster than wireless...if you are in a networked office environment that can make a massive difference.

I meant it might happen, it's just a thought.
Well they did kill itools so in the end they'd have to kill the whole MobileMe brand.
Luckily the Apple today is cash rich compared to the Apple 8 or so years ago. We certainly should be expecting more from Apple.

That's very true. But Apple (or any software, consumer electronics company) would be foolish to not close known security holes.
Yes, new holes will be found. And Apple will try to plug those up, as well. I can't see an argument for people complaining that Apple is patching security holes.
At least on iPhone you can apply the updates on the day they come out (well, JB versions have to wait a couple of days) ... compare this to Android and WinMobile7 where you are at the mercy of the carrier to 'enrich' the update with their 'features' which might take many weeks or month - if it ever comes.

What if you have or want to re-format your Mac? I hope Apple would also give you a utility that will package the OS into a bootable installer that you can copy to a USB flash drive. Or maybe that is what you would be downloading, just an image to be copied to a DVD/USB drive as I doubt you could install the OS like an app would (download, pop up in the dock, done).
I guess we will see how things go when Apple release it.

The heat alone would melt that case in a couple months:)
Nah... The chip would go way before the aluminum melts (~108C or so max for any semiconductor to die <quick/instant death>, and aluminum melts at 660C :eek). :D :p

Well, I think it's great - I have just been able to track business mileage accurately, even when I have lost the exact date and route - I also can retrace my steps from that holiday 8 months ago where I went to a really nice place and forgot the name of it.
Neither of those uses is supported by the information in question.

What is most sad in this article is the amount of greed. Apple gets its displays, processor, etc from Samsung. However, this is not enough. Samsung wants more, so they try and copy what Apple is doing. Corporate greed at its finest. Apple should have also included in the contract, "We'll buy parts from you, but you are not allowed to build a competing product".

I keep on looking at their real time up dates on there website, hoping to see a change.... Lol. I wonder when shipments usually come in. You would think big shipments like that come in the early morning or late at night, but who knows.

Lets look at the world's highest growth economy and see what their tax rates are:

So they have a higher rate of capital gains tax than the US.
A little lower down...

MobileMe will make the "most" sense to you in your greatest time of need.
For me it was getting hacked and my iPhone wiped. Since I keep my OS X Address Book, Contacts and Bookmarks up to date I was back to normal in about an hour. All contacts, documents and bookmarks just like I had left them. That's when I knew the money was well spent.
I've got to give kudos to MobileMe support. I couldn't talk on the phone but I was able to chat with a live representative and she helped me get reset. I understand why companies like to chat instead of use the phone because people tend to be more terse over chat as opposed to gabby on the phone.
The sync features are the reason for MobileMe. They will save your ass someday if use them.

can anyone comment on the sound quality when playing music on the iphone via the tomtom kit when it's connected to the car's sound system?
reason for asking: when i use a standard audio cable from the headphone output of my iphone into my car's aux in, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. i basically have to crank up the volume all the way on both my car system and the iphone to hear anything, and even what i hear isn't all that great.
The sound quality of the Car Kit going through the aux jack is excellent. Much better than coming from the headphone jack.

I'm really neutral toward all this, but I really just have one very valid question.......... Why, WHY does EVERYTHING Amazon does have to be sooooooooooooo DISGUSTINGLY HIDEOUS!!!???
I challenge anyone in here to show me a website uglier than amazon.com! Seriously!!!
I think amazonmp3.com looks pretty good. A bit lacking in some extra metadata that I'd like to see but certainly not hideous. Everything works, and works well. Much faster to navigate around my music than via iTunes. Give me speed over superfluous eye-candy any day.
The AmazonMP3 Android app looks very nice btw...
