The hippest nail polish color

It's called "Chinchilly" by Essie.

Before my nail appointment a few weeks ago, I was at the condo flipping thru InStyle magazine.  There was a map of the United States, with drop down arrows pointing to major cities and the #1 nail polish color in each city.  For Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles the color was Chinchilly.

Of course, my first thought was:  like I'd ever find that color in this one horse town.

When I went to the nail salon and walked over to the rack holding the bottles of polish, I reached for one thinking "hmm, this color is different" and flipped the bottle over to see the name of the color.

Lo and behold - it was "Chinchilly".  I actually found it. I was shocked.

And I've had this color applied every visit since.  Love.it.

The nail tech said that another popular color was "You Don't Know Jacques" by OPI.

Very greige.  And very neat color, too.
Maybe I'll switch to it once the weather turns cooler.
Like, in 7 months.
