To celebrate the first anniversary of the button, Facebook posted an image on its official profile showing how the like Button appears to people across the world in as many as 75 different languages. "Happy 1st birthday, Like button! For a one-year old, the Like button sure has a lot of friends. More than 10,000 sites add the Like button every day. Tell us what the Like button has meant to you," said the Facebook comment on the image.

Through the 'Like', Facebook spread its social footprint across the web. 50,000 websites installed the 'Like' button in its first week, and that number rose to 100,000 in less than a month.
In Filipino or tagalog 'Like' means 'Gusto' or 'To Like' means 'Gustuhin' as shown on the image.
