United States television coverage begins 4:00am Eastern time. Don't you know that I'll be glued to the TV.
One of my pals (Kim) is a daytime bartender at a club that we frequent. She's from London and has invited me to her place in St. Pete to watch the festivities before she leaves to start work at 1:00pm. But I haven't decided if I'll go there or stay here and watch every-single-minute.
I may just watch it here on BBC. Oh, won't that be glorious? Here's a blurb from their website:
There will be no channel, news organization or online site with more access and coverage than the BBC, which will carry 5.5 hours of live, commercial-free coverage on BBC America through a simulcast with BBC ONE, the flagship network. The coverage, which will be broadcast from within Westminster Abbey as well as every major royal site in London, begins at 3 a.m Eastern.
I'm sure I'll be flipping over to ABC, NBC and CBS for their coverage. I mean, I don't think I can take hour after hour of listening to Brit accents.
At any rate, it will truly be a glorious event.
Ala the ending of Officer and a Gentlemen.
Except in a much grander scale.
Much.
Way to go, Kate. Way to go.
