Hong Kong based Shangri-La hotels has looked at two sites, including one close to the second international airport being built in Hambantota, to construct its second proposed hotel, Deputy Minister for Economic Development Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena told News Now.lk.The Deputy Minister said that a Shangri-La team who is currently in the island has also examined a land close to the Yala national park.
The international hotel chain will select one of the two sites and begin constructing its second hotel after the completion of its first project in Colombo.
