Conversation at dinner tonight

While the Boston Bruins game was on:

P:  Rusk, Goalie of the Future
M:  And Tim Thomas, best Goalie on the Planet
M:  Who said that?  Was it ESPN or NESN?
P:  NESN called Rusk the Goalie of the Futue.  One of the opposing teams called Tim Thomas the best Goalie on the Planet.

Later
M:  Are the Seattle Seahawks still in the playoffs?
P:  No.  Can you name the 4 teams that are.
M:  Chicago Bears, NY Jets, Steelers, and one other.
P:  (silence)
M:  Are they playing the Bears?
P:  Yes.
M:  Oh, I know.  Greenbay Packers.
P:  And that's the problem with the Bears. No fan support.

And then I couldn't resist.

M:  1985
P:  (eyes rolled)

So, the Bruins continued as I cleaned up the dishes.

Knowing full well the answer to the question, but I just couldn't resist:
M:  Oh, by the way, who was it that won the Stanley Cup Championship last year?
P:  Long overdue.  Since 1961.
M:  Well, when was it the last time the Bruins won?
P:  1972.

Another pause.

P: When was the last time the Cubs won a World Series?  Aren't they in triple digits by now?
