The Bruins are up on Toronto, playing the Maple Leafs. As the cameras panned the skyline of Toronto, we talked about our trip up there (many years ago) to see the RedSox play the BlueJays and what a fun city it was and what a great time we had.
M: I love Toronto, along with some other Canadian cities.
P: Which ones?
M: Vancouver and Ottawa.
(coincidentially, these are the only three that I've been to. ha!)
P: Can you name the other 3 Canadian cities that have hockey teams, and their teams?
M: Do you already know them?
P: Yes.
M: Okay, let me start with what I've already mentioned. Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and, um, Vancouver Canucks.
P: Go on.
M pauses here.
P: I can't believe you're leaving out the major one.
M: Oh, I know. Montreal Canadiens. (Note: Bruins arch rival.)
P: 2 more.
M: I can't think of any more.
P: Who did Wayne Gretzky play for?
M: L.A. Kings
P: No .... well, yes, but what Canadian team?
M: Oh, I know. Oilers. Houston Oilers.
P, laughing: No.
M: Wait let me think. Edmonton Oilers.
P: Right.
M: Are they still a team?
P: Yes.
P: 1 more.
M: Oh, I know. Pavel Bure played for them. The Russian Rocket.
P: Okay, you've got all that. Now who's the team?
M: Vancouver Canucks.
P: That's great. Except you already mentioned that team.
M: You mean there's one more yet?
P: Yes.
M: (puts on the thinking cap), finally blurts out: Calgary Flames.
P: Very good. And I know that you know the Original 6.
Pretty exciting Saturday night in Tampa, huh? Ha!
