While we were at Beef O'Bradys last night, and the TV nearest us was one of the many set on the Celtics game (gee, what a surprise, huh?), I noticed a few sets were broadcasting a Chicago Bears game.
M: Heh, did you see down there ... they've got the Bears game on.
P, without even glancing over at the screen: It's a replay.
M: How do you know that? You didn't even look over.
P: Trust me, it's a replay.
M: It's the Bears vs. Detroit. Does that make a difference?
P: No.
Once we got home, I did some channel flipping while Peter took Maguire out. WGN was broadcasting the weather and Tom Skilling (or is it Schilling. Um, oh no, that's the ultimate RedSox. But I digress.) Anywaaaay, he was talking about how cold it was going to be at Sunday's Bears game.
M: The Bears are playing at home on Sunday?
P: Yes.
M: The weather guy said it's going to be downright cold. With the wind coming right off the lake, those fans are going to be freezing. I wonder who they'll be playing.
P, with a half smile: Patriots. Tom Brady excels in cold weather.
I just chuckled. Peter and his sports.
So, we'll see how Tom Brady does in the cold weather.
