A few of us went to Beef O'Bradys last night after the TBV meeting. Since it was absolutely gorgeous outside (translation: no heat, no humidity, no bugs) we all sat at the outside bar area.
Even though the TampaBay Lightning were on the road last night (playing the Montreal Canadiens), not one of the many many TVs at Beef O'Bradys had the game on. Not one of them.
Oh, there was ESPN Sports Classic on several, the UCF vs. Marshall football (yawn), NHL On-The-Fly. But none were showing the home team. I mean, even if management doesn't know the Lightning are playing.... what about the customers? Don't they care?
Is that pitiful or what?
OK, here's another point. The goalie of Montreal is Carey Price. Today's newspaper has his name listed as Carey Prince. Hmm, I wonder if the Boston Gobe or Chicago Tribune would misspell it.
Doubt it.
