We went to the Corvette Club meeting tonight. And afterwards had dinner and drinks at Hooters.
The Rays/RedSox game was on (of course), and after several innings I asked Peter who were the contendenders in the National League for the World Series.
Oh, San Diego is strong. Cincinnati. He proceeded to say that I might be seeing Bronson Arroyo (one of my fav pitchers) in the World Series, and definitely the playoffs. Phillies will be contenders.
I asked "What about the Cubs?"
OMG, you should have seen the look on his face. Cubs? Are you kidding me? Their season was over in May. Even their manager gave up on them two months early.
Alright, alright, I get the gist of it.
