Thought For Days

Be Tolerant
You have the power to tolerate anyone and any situation. But tolerance is not just suffering in silence. It means going beyond any personal discomfort you may feel, and giving a gift to whom ever you would tolerate. Give your time, attention, understanding, compassion, care - all are gifts, which paradoxically, you also receive in the process of giving. And, as you do, you will experience your own self esteem and inner strength grow. In this way you can turn tolerance into strength.

The Peacemaker
The first lesson on the path of becoming a peacemaker is to stop being at war with myself. It is only when the turbulence of my mind ceases that I can begin to make peace with the world.

Generosity
If I limit the love I give to just one or two, it will eventually go stale. If I learn to create love inside my heart and silently give it to everyone I meet, love will grace every corner of my life.

Be At Peace
You spend most of your life running after things, doing things. You forget that being comes before doing. Those who remember this secret make an effort to "be" and discover that when they stop and observe, life helps and brings whatever is needed. Learning to be is learning to be at peace. It is our most fundamental nature.

Simplicity
Peace is simplicity. Simplicity is beauty. Choose a day as your day of simplicity. Speak little, and listen with attention. Do something incognito and nice for a person you are close to. Eat simple and natural food. Create time periods for not doing anything - just walk, look around, live the moment. Have your mind open to a more profound and silent sensitivity. Appreciate each scene and each person as they are. In the evening, write down your discoveries. Observe the state of your mind.

The Virtue of Sweetness

Just as eating and serving something sweet makes your taste buds feel sweetness, and for a while after, you remain happy, become sweet-natured yourself so that words filled with sweetness are constantly spoken. Such sweet words make both you and others happy. Use this method to always sweeten everyone's mouth; constantly maintain a sweet attitude, sweet words and sweet actions.

Opportunities
Try to turn calamities into opportunities by twisting them to something good and fine. Wring joy from failure, gain trom loss Thus make a blessing of your cross-- and shape it to a beautiful design.
Turn your trials and tragedies into opportunities, and seized a boon from each experience. Resolve to snatch some happy chance from every adverse circumstanced--and make it serve the ends of Providence.

Exciting Night..

Yesterday me and my flatmates were stress on our assignment. After my discussion, I got the feeling of doing and continue my work. I WANNA EAT.. As for Soke Yee, Pik Kay and Rebecca, they also did not want to do their work. They also WANNA EAT.

When we went to the kitchen, we saw food that we can eat. But, we didn't know want to eat what. At first, me and Pik Kay decided to order kebab from Platform 3. Free delivery is when the order reach 8 paun. So, we asked around for orders. But, the amount was still not reaching.

Then we changed our mind to buy KFC as we thought the KFC open til 12 midnight. So, we decided to walk there. When we almost reached there, we saw lights. So we were glad that the KFC shop still open. But, when we wanna enter into the shop, the door was locked and there was no one at the counters. We went and searched for the time and found out that the shop just have drive thru til midnight. We were all disappointed.

Then, Rebecca asked us to walk thru and see whether can order or not. When we passed by two guys, one of the guys asked us to walk thru. While waiting for the operator, we looked at the menu to decide what to order. However, there was no respond from the operator. When we decided to walk ahead to the counter, suddenly the operator talked and the voice made Pik Kay jump away.

But, when we talked, there was NO RESPOND AGAIN. We all give up on that machine and walk ahead. When Rebecca reached the counter, she heard one guy inside the shop say:'HERE THEY ARE.' Then the operator came to the counter to take our order.

Then we just found out that there is a security camera but, it cannot see us clearly as we stood beside the ordering machine. We should stand in the middle of the road. LIKE A CAR. Then the people inside the shop can see us. Then we all laugh non-stop when we found out this. Our first time walk thru experience... The guy that talked with us just now ask us to be pround of it as it is also his first time to walk thru KFC. Haha..

It is really an amazing experience on buying our supper. When we flashed back on the way we walked back to hostel, we found out that we always had an AMAZING and DIFFERENT experience when we wanna buy food to eat.

You have to be at the scene then you just can know how funny it was. It's hard to imagine..

The Phantom of the Opera (20080828)

Today, me and my flatmates will go London to watch The Phantom of the Opera. This is the musical show we wanna see and first time watch in the theatre. We go London by coach so we have to gather in front of the Owen building at noon.

At the time we arrive at London, it's already 5 pm. So we decide to go to Chinatown for our dinner. (Today dinner time so early..) We go to the Malaysian restaurant to eat the Malaysian food we all miss a lot.

This is C&R Restaurant, the Malaysian restaurant. When I go inside the restaurant, I see a picture that show the twin tower, just like the menu shown below.

There are many food that we wanna try and many food that can be ordered from the menu.

This is ordered by Rebecca. This is Penang Prawn Mee. It taste good and I really miss it.

As for Pik Kay, Soke Yee, Kah Wai and me, this is what we have ordered. NASI LEMAK.. OMG.. So long I don't eat nasi lemak already..Nice and I like it..

After the dinner, we take picture at the 'door' that hang the poster of congrats on the success of China in hosting the Olympic Games 2008.

We watch the Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre. At the time we reach here, there are a lot of people waiting to go inside the theatre.

Before the show start, we get our ticket and a photo together with. Let us see Pik Kay's new trademark. (The one cover her mouth with the ticket.)

When we find our seats, we just find out out that the seat we have is not the one the organiser has promised. We sit at the corner of the theatre not in the middle of it. When we see the price of the ticket, we have a shock. Some of the tickets cost 35 paun and some cost 25 paun. That means the cost of the coach to go from Sheffield to London is 20 paun and 30 paun respectively. It really pissed me off. This is not what we have expected of. I'm really angry and disappointed on it. Too much expectation is put on the organiser. Sh*t.. If this is what i will be getting, I rather go and watch by myself. Arr...

Inside the theatre..

This is a great show. Everything is live. Bravo to all the people that participate in this musical show. The performance is great..

Besides that issue on the seatings and price, it's a memorable and great experience for me to watch the Phantom of the Opera in the theatre.

The due dates for each assignment is so closed and make me feel stress. the 'Life Journey' really helps me a lot. Thanks mum. Always be there when I need you.

"Life's Journey"
While you walk life's journey, you cannot avoid certain kinds of frustrations, misfortunes, and hardships. But meanwhile you should also not miss those natural beauties and human affections you meet along the road. "Face your problems with a calm mind, enjoy your life with a sensuous heart".

US Mens Basketball wins gold in 2008 Olympics in beijing

In the final day of the 2008 Olympics, the US mens basketball defeated Spain 118-107 to get the gold. It was a close game with the US leading only by 4 points with 2 and a half minutes to go. The final score became lopsided when the Americans hit a bunch of free throws after the Spanish became frustrated and were called for the technicals.
This was not an easy game for the US because the Americans had won their first seven games by 30 points. They beat Spain by 37 points earlier in the tournament. Their price is the gold which they had in 2000 Olympics. Throughout the tournament the US who invented basketball compiled perfect 8-0 record. Dwayne Wade led the team with 27 points and 4 steals. Kobe Bryant finished with 20 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds. For Spain Rudy Fernandez scored 22 points and Pau Gasol scored 21 points.

Thought For Days

A Loving World
A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror.

Discovering Spirituality
Contentment is a great strength. It comes when a person lives in honesty and simplicity. Contentment means we have overcome useless desires. It is said that you can discern a person's truth from their level of contentment.

Good Software
Positive thoughts are like good software that helps us to perform to the best of our abilities.

Steady Light of Hope
No matter how dark the situation, let me always hold on to the steady light of hope.

Your Best
As you do, so you become. Every action that you perform is recorded in you, the soul. These imprints ultimately mould your character and destiny. When you understand this principle, you will pay more attention to bringing your best to everything you do.

Courage
One of the highest forms of courage is the ability to face my own negativity without feeling guilty or bad about myself, and then take responsibility for changing it. To begin this process, I first make contact with my deepesst spiritual core. Reflecting on the things I care about mostly gives me a glimpse of my innate goodness. Building on this, God will, if I let Him, gently reveal in me a caring and compassionate nature that can even be described as divine. The courage to let go of unwanted thoughts and feelings will develop when I accept that my higher, divine self is not separate from me, but lies at the very heart of who I am.

Pictured together, these two leading characters present a very sexy, hip teen fashion look with Blake Lively over the knees leg warmers, pleated micro mini school girl skirt and pull over sweater and Leighton Meester bright red pantyhose, shorts, sweater top and strip jacket.

Gossip Girl is more than a trendy television series, it also focuses on fashion trends and looks that its teen audience will be wearing and shopping for at the mall.

Paris Trip (20080808-12)

8th-9th August 2008

Today is the day me and my flatmates go for Paris Trip. It is a three-day two-night trip. We go with our friends, Shean Ying, Soon and Yvan. We walk to Sheffield Interchange at seven something at night. We need to take train from Sheffield to Doncaster before go to London. It takes us half an hour to reach Doncaster.

These are all the bags we bring to Paris. It includes clothes, food and some of them even bring their 'bao bei'..

The following pictures show what we do in the train from Doncaster to London.

Pik Kay, Rebecca, Sok Ling and Kah Wai are sleeping during the journey.

As for Soke Yee, she is preparing for BSMA seminar. She is so hardworking..

This is Soke Yee's bear. Wearing the eye bed...

When we reach the train station in London, Shean Ying start to find the platform where Harry Potter and his friends take to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is it....

Our flat got one culture. That is to call everyone's name for fun. When we are in London, we have upgraded our culture by adding some actions. These are the actions we have to do when we call the names. We take this picture in front of the station.

See how great this picture is taken. Can see how fast Kah Wai is running.

The above pictures are the actions we need to do when we call each other. We are showing our own name's actions.

As we need for few hours before we take Eurostar to Paris. We have our adventure in the station. We take picture by doing pose.

When we see the above statue, we try to take the above poses. Me and Pik Kay is punching each other face. Actually, me and Kah Wai pose for kicking each other. However, I fell and this is the result of the picture taken.

After our adventure, there is nothing to do. We all cannot sleep and some of us start playing cards. By the way, there are new member in the group. The guy sitting beside Soon is Marcus.

Before going to the platform, we all take pictures outside the station. There are drawings on the wall and we do things according to the pictures. See the following pictures.

This picture is taken in front of the Eurostar before we get into it.

All of us take pictures in the train when we find our seats.

We have finally reach Paris. This is taken when we are in the station.

This is where we are staying during this trip. Hotel Formule 1....

The above are the pictures of the looks of our room. Three people stay in one room. I stay with Pik Kay and Kah Wai. We are 'Qiao Bang'..

These are our breakfast that is ordered by Yvan. I like the third one.

Today our tour guide is Yvan. He is Mr 'Mang'. He walks very fast. We have to catch up with him. We have to take train to places we want to visit. The above picture is not taken by me. I just download from website. Most of us may think Paris is a romantic place to go. However, when we reach the train station to catch a train, the images of romantic Paris shown in movies and books break into pieces. It's look dirty and smelly when we walk along. There are rubbish everywhere. No more romance.....

Our first stop is Louvre. This is the place I want to go after reading Da Vinci Code. I want to see the pyramid.

La Pyramide du Lourve

Taking pictures in front of the pyramid before we go inside the museum.

The following pictures are taken from inside the building.

Displays in the museum:

This is a bit scary. I thought they are real human beings at first. It looks real.

This picture is taken by Kah Wai. He says this is the prettiest. (as can't see us clearly)

After visiting the Lauvre, we go to Eiffel Tower.

At last Kah Wai 'bao bei' appears in the picture with Eiffel Tower.

On the train, there will be some people performing.

Eifffels Towers appear at Versailles.

We take pictures in the garden before we go for the palace tour. 'Qiao Bang' group photo. Forget to introduce. From left: 'Bang Zhu-Kah Wai; former 'Bang Zhu'-Pik Kay; Me...

This is our tour guide for palace tour.

This is a bed in the palace. For me, the bed is small and tall. Erm.. are the king and queen are short...
This ancient clock is still working.

Posing on the field:

ParisSuperman
Kah Wai wants to jump into the pond. When I go near it, the pond really big and deep.

I like this picture. It is taken by me.

The fish are fighting for food when we throw biscuits to them. They are big.
The wind blows strongly and the umbrella 'fly up'.

This is the wooden car we see on the way go meet Yvan

This is our second day dinner. Paris' Kebab. Belanja by Yvan.. Thanks...

I don't know what name is this building. We can go to 56th and 59th level to see the view of city.

Eiffel Tower at night.

After going to the Eiffel Tower, we all rush to the train station. We have to catch train back to our hotel. We run up and down in the station to catch the last train. Pik Kay says this is her total of run of 23 years. However, we miss the train. Yvan says we need to walk for three hours to walk back to hotel. While Yvan is figuring out ways to go back, we take pictures around us. Night trip in Paris..

L' Arc de Triomphe

We take bus back to our hotel. When we reach our hotel it's already two o three something in the morning. We take our bath, chat and sleep..

11th August 2008

Today we go to Sacre-Coeur. We have to climb the stairs before we reach on top of it.

This is the view from the top.

Le Moulin Rouge

Lunch time.. It's my first lunch in Paris actually.

This is the High Street in Paris. The shops are branded shop..

These are the cars that are display in the shops. Cool man..

High Class Pig...

When in Paris, we can see people in the shops along the street like to face outside. Like watching people walk by them.

Louis Vuitton!!

This is the LV shop in Paris. It's big.

Last dinner in Paris. Kebab again..

Taking picture in Eurostar on the way back to London.

When we are on the way back to Doncaster from London, we celebrate Kah Wai's birthday in the train. We wake him up by singing birthday song.

When we reach Doncaster, some of us go back Sheffield by taxi. So, left me, Soke Yee, Pik Kay, Kah Wai and Soon waiting for the train to go back Sheffield. As the station wants to close, we have to find place to rest. We walk for few minutes and find a car park. However, we think it's dangerous to stay there. So we walk back to the station and rest in the shopping complex beside the station. After putting our things down and decide to rest, we are chased out by the security guard. We have to stay in the cold outside the station. So cham and tired...

This is an enjoyable trip and I have new experience. I have visited the Lauvre and see the Mona Lisa few steps away. It's a good experience in visiting the historical places. It's amazing to see the people in the past complete the drawings, statues and buildings.
